Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive site investigations to assess soil and rock conditions.
• Perform geotechnical analysis and provide recommendations for foundation design and ground improvement.
• Develop and implement geotechnical testing programs and interpret laboratory results.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate geotechnical solutions into design and construction plans.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee fieldwork and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Assist in project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in geotechnical engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (BEng, BSc or BTech).
• Registered as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA; Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, including site investigations and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and ground improvement techniques.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools.
• Experience with field investigations, laboratory testing, and data analysis.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, budget, and schedule effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present findings to stakeholders.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of working independently and within a team.
