Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently working with a leading consulting engineering firm that is looking for a skilled and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Cofimvaba, Eastern Cape.This is a contract position.Responsibilities

• Conducting detailed site investigations and assessments to analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions.
• Designing foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks to ensure stability and safety.
• Offering expert consultation on soil mechanics, geotechnical principles, and related project aspects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
• Performing advanced geotechnical analyses using cutting-edge software and techniques.
• Overseeing construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical specifications.
• Ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Supervising the implementation of geotechnical design solutions during construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA.
• Valid driver's license.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Working knowledge of Department of Transport and SANRAL design methodologies, including TMH21 (DER).
• Demonstrated experience in geotechnical engineering, with a preference for consulting and construction supervision experience.
• Strong proficiency in geotechnical software and modeling tools.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Proven expertise in geotechnical design and analysis according to local and international design codes.
• Preference will be given to applicants residing in the Eastern Cape
