GIS Technician - Cape TownFull job descriptionGIS Technician - Cape Town Technical / ConstructionCape Town - Western CapeGIS Technician - Cape TownThe TES employee(s) will be responsible for the following function / work1. Searching for immovable assets from the insurance register based on the location and asset description using CCTs spatial webmap application and related GIS datasets i.e. Cadastre, Basic Services, Immovable Property Asset Register etc.2. Capturing location keys from GIS datasets i.e. Land Parcel Keys, IPARA Usage Area Key, IPARA Building Key and other IDs as it may relate to the Insurance Asset Register.3. Collate responses for input to meetings and documents relating to the Insurance Immovable Asset Register Data Cleaning Project.4. Assisting with meeting logistics for Insurance Immovable Asset Register Data Cleaning Project.5. Assist with the facilitation of asset verification with asset owners and otherstakeholders.The TES employee(s) must meet the following requirements:Qualification: A relevant National diploma in Geo-Information/Informatics or Geomatics ScienceExperience: 1 - 2 year relevant experienceOther skills /requirements (Specify)1. Proficient in MS office and Excel skills2. Proficient in using mapping applications on the web and related desktop software.3.
