Gr 10-12 Math and Science Teachers - UAE - 2025 - South AfricaFull job descriptionHigh School Grade 10-12 teachers : Mathematics, and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology specialists),specialist school teachers needed in state schools in Abu Dhabi UAE.Subjects (High school/Secondary level): Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology specialists) only16,000 - 18,000 AED/month (ZAR 75000-100 000 p/m) tax free - salary depends on the location you are placed in and your highest university attainment.Flights at beginning and end of 2 year renewable contract and free UAE wide medical insurance for self, spouse and up to 3 qualifying dependent childrenOrientation, hotel upon arrival for 2 weeks while you find housingEnd of service bonus of 23 days pay per year of service when you leave after completing your contractnote: housing and school fees for children are not provided and must be paid for out of your salary.Requirements - not negotiableBachelors of Education for FET for your teaching subject OR a Bachelors degree in Math or Science, or Math or Science Education a PGCE for FET/Grades 8-12SACE teacher certification/registration2+ years recent experience teaching the subject matching your bachelor's degree at Secondary level (Grade 8-12)Good classroom management and relationship building skillsComplete fluency in English with clear spoken English and good grammarStart date: 2025Under age 50 at the start of contract (this is a visa issue)Clear criminal recordDocumentation: as part of the visa approval process, you will need to get copies of your degrees, SACE, transcripts of degrees, birth certificate, recent federal criminal check, and experience letters from previous employers on letterhead . Because this is a government programme there is a lot of documentation needed. Do not apply if you are unwilling or unable to obtain these.Locations: These are state schools serving Emirati students and parents. Because of the size and the required flexibility of such a large, Emirate-wide programme, teachers will not know the exact location of their schools before arrival in the UAE but as you make your own living arrangements, you can choose where you rent and live after arrival. There are 7 Emirates - Ajman, Um al Qwuain, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras al Khaimah and if you are not happy to be placed in any of them please do not apply to this programme. One exception: if you have a spouse already in the UAE or with a valid employment contract from the UAE, every effort will be made to place you as close as possible to your/your spouses residence but you won't know the exact location until teacher orientation.Dependents: Teachers, once their residency has been processed, and then they can sponsor visas of their spouse and children per UAE law but note that visa costs and school tuition fees are the responsibility of the teacher. Make sure you factor this into your budgeting.EAL and Classroom management: The first language of Emirati children is Arabic, so teachers must be skilled and prepared to teach children for whom English is not the first language.
