Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our team as a GR R Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and caring for our young 5 - 6 year old students (Gr R ) in a nurturing and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality education and care.

• Knowledge of bilingual or multilingual education (English and Afrikaans preferred).

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging lessons
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to parents on student achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

Requirements:

• BED Foundation phase ideally
• SACE
• At least 2 years of experience teaching in an early childhood setting (preferably in GR R)
• Strong understanding of child development theories and principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Familiarity with technology integration in the classroom (e.g., educational apps, online resources).
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain confidentiality.
• Physical ability to lift light objects (e.g., chairs, tables).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Knowledge of bilingual or multilingual education (English and Afrikaans preferred).
• Experience with child-centred approaches (e.g., project-based learning).
