They are our greatest asset.Join us and lets grow together.We are currently accepting applications for the following position located in the Witbank, Mpumalanga area.The successful candidate will be responsible to assist the safe and cost-effective extraction of coal resources and reserves by generating, processing, interpreting and reporting of geological information using Geological Models and relevant software in a format that can be utilised for optimal mine planning and eventual economic extraction.Key ResponsibilitiesBorehole logging, planning and updating of mine plans.Ensuring quality through efficient Grade Control Practice (i.e. Horizon control, yield management & contamination).Mapping of geological features.Assisting and coaching production personnel responsible for mining operations (i.e. ensuring that the grade profile and monthly planned/forecast yields are achieved).Managing geological databases.Assisting with Coal Quality simulations.Minimum Qualifications:Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Geology.Drivers license (Code EB/08).Minimum Experience:Completed Graduate Development Programme or minimum 2 years relevant experience.Behavioural Competencies:Ability to carefully and objectively analyse and evaluate information to inform decisions and key actions.Ability to inspire and foster commitment, pride and trust amongst team members by taking a democratic approach, seeking and valuing contributions and encouraging collaboration.Consciousness for details and the ability to produce consistently high quality and accurate work.
