Salary:Competitive Market SalaryClosing date for applications is 06 September 2024For more information, contact:Responsibilities:As a Graduate Animator, you will immerse yourself into a year-long journey, getting hands-on experience with the core functions of an Animator at Games Global. You will have the opportunity to apply your technical skills while accessing comprehensive training and development.The areas you will work in include Games animations and Marketing assets. You will directly contribute to strategic solutions for the business, while gaining first-hand exposure to the various design-centric career paths in Games Global.A view into the work the Graduate will be engaged in:
  • Assist with junior level animations and effects for real products.
  • Assist teams to create marketing videos for market packs.
  • Get to know the games landscape via learning sessions and competitor research.
  • Introduction to the software development lifecycle from an animation point of view e.g. different features and how animations communicate the features.
  • Exposure to advanced game design, illustration, and animation across both studios.
  • Buddy up on Animation Guild to understand the type of queries that this role receives.
  • Present adopted methodologies and outcomes to key stakeholders.
Qualifications:Requirements:
  • Be a Graduate or Final-Year Student when applying
  • Have an average of 70 % and above in marks from first year to final year
  • South African Citizen
  • Under the age of 35 years
  • Interest in the world of gaming
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Candidate should be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator.
  • Some experience in Spine 2D and other 3rd party plugins for After Effects is preferred but will be expanded upon on the job.
Qualifications:
  • BA Visual Communication
  • BA Graphic Design
  • BA Multimedia in Digital Visual Arts
  • Bachelors degree in Game Design
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a creative field such as Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia Design, or Visual Communication.
