Job Description


The Graduate Recruitment Assistant will support the recruitment team in sourcing, attracting, and selecting top graduate talent for the organisation. This role involves assisting with administrative tasks, coordinating recruitment events, liaising with universities, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:1. Graduate Recruitment Support:

  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process for graduate programs, internships, and leadership.
  • Screen applications, schedule interviews, and conduct initial candidate assessments.
  • Maintain and update candidate databases and recruitment tracking systems.
2. University Engagement & Talent Sourcing:
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, career services, and student organisations.
  • Assist in planning and attending career fairs, networking events, and campus presentations.
  • Promote employer branding initiatives to attract top graduates.
  • Assist in graduate induction, job shadowing and vac work throughout the year.
3. Administration & Coordination:
  • Manage candidate correspondence, including interview confirmations and feedback.
  • Assist with onboarding processes, including preparing induction materials.
  • Ensure compliance with employment equity and labour laws in South Africa.
4. Marketing & Social Media Support:
  • Help manage job postings on career portals, social media, and company websites.
  • Assist in developing recruitment marketing materials, such as brochures and videos.
  • Monitor and respond to queries from potential candidates.
5. Data Management & Reporting:
  • Track recruitment metrics and prepare reports on candidate pipelines and hiring trends.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of recruitment activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-1 years experience in recruitment, HR, or administration (internship or part-time work)
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of South African labour laws and recruitment best practices (advantageous).
