Our client, a prominent name in the fruit wholesale industry, is urgently seeking a Grape Category Manager. This position is critical to their operations, and they are looking for someone who can step in and make an immediate impact. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the skills required for this role and the urgency of filling this position.Role Overview:
The Grape Category Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the grape category within our client's portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of the grape market, strong leadership skills, and the ability to make strategic decisions that drive profitability and market share. You will work closely with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders to ensure the highest quality of product and service.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to grow the grape category, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts, pricing, and supply chain logistics.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Oversee the procurement process, ensuring the quality and consistency of grape supplies.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and campaigns.
• Analyse category performance data and adjust strategies as needed to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in category management, with a strong focus on the fruit industry.
• Deep knowledge of the grape market and supply chain.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• A degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
