Our client is looking for a Graphic Designer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Fulfill graphic design requirements for the business, including company forms, media layout, and digital assets.
Create visually compelling designs that meet the needs of the business and its customers, with a focus on innovation and originality.
Demonstrate proficiency in design software, typography, color theory, layout, and other technical aspects of graphic design.
Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships by building rapport with suppliers and clients.
Operational
Design
Advise on visual strategies to reach target audiences through various digital platforms and print media.
Create compelling visual representations of campaign related messages.
Create comprehensive and cohesive video content.
Exhibit problem-solving skills to evaluate issues and develop effective solutions.
Determine the message the design should convey and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
Create engaging images, graphics, and animations that identify a product or communicate a message.
Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, websites, and social media content.
Select appropriate colors, images, text style, and layout, while maintaining consistency across all materials.
Retouch and manipulate digital photography and artwork to optimize visual impact.
Review designs for errors and ensure adherence to brand guidelines before printing or publishing them.
Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, newsletters, websites, and marketing campaigns.
Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, font style, and size.
Prepare rough drafts and present ideas to clients or the marketing team for feedback and approval.
Maintain corporate identity and ensure brand consistency across all design work.
Willingness to learn new systems that operate outside of graphic design.
Contribute to web design through wireframing, content sourcing and copywriting.
Willingness to source visual content to strengthen your creative output.
Liaison and Relationship building
Collaborate with external printers, web developers, and other vendors to ensure deadlines are met and materials meet quality standards.
Meet with clients, other departments, or the marketing team to determine the scope of a project and gather input on design requirements.
Contribute to team effort by sharing design expertise, providing feedback, and assisting colleagues as needed.
Project Management
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
Continuously track project progress, provide updates to relevant stakeholders, and adjust priorities as needed.
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance design work and stay competitive in the market.
Be flexible in your role with exposure to different aspects of the Marketing
Department with job-rotation and function empowerment.
Perform stock management, organisation and quality control on marketing material.
Collaborate with various departments as needed to ensure effective communication is sent from yourself to the relevant departments.
Manage the communication process with the departments according to deadlines.
Communication is essential across all departments.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
Proficiency in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:
Matric or Equivalent NQF 4.
Functional certificate/courses.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
Knowledge of UI/UX design principles is a plus.
3-4 years in the graphic design industry preferred, including experience in digital and print design.
