• Lead and oversee a local team of accountants
• Ensure the highest quality of financial controls and governance
• Prepare and deliver month-end financial ledgers on schedule, coordinating with local accountants and accurately uploading data for relevant entities
• Conduct thorough month-end reviews of balance sheets, sub-ledgers, payroll, and tax reconciliations, ensuring consistency in approach and format
• Supervise the monthly closure of bank accounts, including reconciliations, member accounts, and revaluations
• Ensure detailed maintenance of subsidiary ledgers, including asset registers, depreciation schedules, and accounts for debtors, creditors, and members
• Monitor and manage aged debtors and creditors
• Serve as the primary contact for local and group audits, working closely with auditors
• Oversee the maintenance of cashbooks and cash flows for business entities

Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• BCom Hounors
• CA(SA) / SAIPA / CIMA Qualified / AGA(SA)

Experience:

• Completed SAICA Articles.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central General is a must.
• Must have at least 2 years of management experience.
• Experience within shared services or finance operations management in a global organisation is beneficial.
• Must have experience in creating and maintaining robust controls within centralised finance operations
• Experience in a Hospitality / Travel industry preferred

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and engineering
• Strong ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality in financial matters
