EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in stock control and purchasing of mild steel Tubing is essential.
• Computer literate advanced experience on Excel, Syspro or SAP.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong sourcing and negotiating skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Innovative with a focus on feedback
• Deal with all Branch queries.
• Have reliable transport.
• A stable work record and contactable references.
• Inventory Monitoring and measurement trough provided means.
• Always Ensuring correct inventory levels, by branch.
• Negotiating with suppliers ensuring best price and availability of product.
• Liaising in good manner with customers and suppliers ensuring the best possible relationship.
• Measuring and updating group pricing tables.
• Management, tracking and expediting of all orders.
• Inform management of possible new suppliers related to your product expertise.

• Ensure all buying schedules are completed in good time, approved by management, and distributed into customers/suppliers.
• Ensure stock levels of all items are kept at the correct stock level.
• Notify management of market related changes including price changes and any changes that can influence the company.
• Negotiate with external parties on behalf of the company as and when required by management.
• Ensure all purchase orders are planned and issued in detail, stipulating group requirements i.e. mass of bundles, size of packs and boxes, marking of material and all governmental requirements are followed where necessary, i.e. certificate requirements, mill certs in order and general compliancy.
• Ensure maintenance of stock codes on Erp system.
• Ensure correct pricing (Costing) and price maintenance of all related items.
• Ensure correct tracking of movements of all mild steel products, including imports, goods at processing facilities and internal bulk movements.
