Group Director Production

Our client in the Automotive industry is currently looking for a Group Director Production, in Ladysmith, Kwa - Zulu Natal.Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all phases of plant operations including Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, SHE, and Procurement.
Drive strategy, financial outcomes, and efficient production at the Ladysmith Plant.
Strategic Leadership: Define and implement strategies to maximize shareholder value and align with organizational goals.
Financial Performance: Manage production costs, make investment decisions, and review financial reports.
Lean Production Management: Oversee tyre production and introduce best-practice systems.
Operational Standard Setting: Develop business plans, optimize QMS, and ensure legal and policy compliance.
General Management: Lead plant operations, manage risk, and communicate strategy.
HR Leadership: Drive corporate culture, employee engagement, and talent development.
Relationship Management: Foster collaborative internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Key Performance Indicators:
Meet financial, quality, operational, customer service, and SHE targets.
Achieve capital investment and strategic project objectives.

Requirements:

Education: Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial Engineering Degree; MBA preferred.
Experience: 15 years in high-volume manufacturing, 5 years in senior management.
Certifications: ECSA registration required.
Language: Proficient in English.
