The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and strategic planning across the group.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management and Reporting

• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group.
• Ensure timely andaccurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and GAAP.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements for clients.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Manage VAT and corporate income tax compliance for all group entities.

Cash Flow Management

• Ensure efficient treasury and payroll operations.
• Liaise with local accountants and tax agents globally.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications and ExperienceEducation:

• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance roles.
• Experience in a group or multi-entity organisation is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and financial regulatory requirements.

Skills and Competencies:

• Experience writing reports that explain complex technical issues in an understandable manner for less experienced accountants and clients.
• Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems, including Exact Online, Xero, and QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills will be tested at the interview stage.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of integrity and dependability.

The client is based in the Netherlands and will require travel (2 * pa) to the NetherlandsresorzhubWe provide skilled resources from South Africa, integrated into our client's team through contracts or employment.
