Lead financial operations for a leading manufacturer. Oversee finance, accounting, and reporting. Drive strategic financial decisionsPOSITION INFO:Join a leading group in the automotive, marine, woodworking, DIY, metal, aeronautical, and composite industries! We seek a highly skilled and motivated Group Financial Controller to join our client''''s team. If you''''re a financial whiz with a passion for numbers and a knack for problem-solving, this could be your dream job!What you''''ll do:

  • Keep their cash flow healthy! You''''ll prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts, analyze variances, and identify potential risks.
  • Oversee their foreign procurement. This includes daily cost checks, verifying purchases, reconciling forward exchange contracts, managing supplier payments, forecasting imports, and handling foreign exchange variances and rebates.
  • Lead the budgeting process. You''''ll manage the annual budget, including rolling budgets and forecasts.
  • Review and consolidate management accounts (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows) and compare them against forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide support to the Group
and operational team.Required Skills

What you''''ll need:
  • Bachelor''''s degree in Financial Accounting (essential).
  • Honours degree in Financial Accounting (advantageous).
  • Completed 3 years of articles (essential, preferably with a medium-sized firm).
  • 3-5 years of relevant commercial experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills (essential working with complex models and databases).
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills you can explain complex financial information clearly.

  • You have a strategic mindset and can identify opportunities and risks.
  • You''''re a strong analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail.
  • You have experience with foreign procurement, including foreign purchases, creditors, exchange rates, shipping terms, VAT, duties, and freight.
  • Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
  • You''''ve prepared provisional and normal tax calculations.
  • You have experience in a group environment, dealing with inter-company loans, debtors, and creditors.
  • You thrive under pressure and can meet tight deadlines.
  • You''''re a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
