A JSE-listed alternative power solutions conglomerate seeks to employ the services of an experienced Group Financial Manager to join their dynamic head office team based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.Please note: This is a FTC maternity cover for 6 months.POSITION INFO:
Job & Company Description:
The purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and running the activities for the group, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.This position will report directly to the Group .Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develop financial well-being of group by providing full spectrum of financial services
• Review and interpret monthly management accounts, and further recommendations
• Analyse and identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities, and assist with strategic analysis and planning
• Establish finance and operational strategies
• Review and sign off on journals
• Assessment and implementation of internal controls
• Prepare inter-divisional reconciliations
• Review head office and operational GL reconciliations
• Manage

and treasury functions * Prepare annual financial statements

• Consolidation of budget templates
• Assist with the implementation of new systems
• Support project analysis and the validation of plans

Education:

• Qualified

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 5 to 6 years post articles experience in a full function group finance role essential
• Project environment experience preferred (retail / manufacturing / wholesale / distribution)
• Experience with cost control and financial analysis essential
• Strong people management skills essential
• Understanding of BI Tools essential
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong business partnering and reporting skills
• Business and financial acumen
• Meticulous attention to detail
