Position: Group Financial Manager
Location: JohannesburgA leading engineering and environmental company specializing in civil and structural engineering is looking for an experienced Group Financial Manager to join our team in Johannesburg.Responsibilities:Financial Accounts Preparation:
Prepare monthly and annual financial accounts for audit purposes, including account reconciliations and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.Financial Status and Forecasting:
Document the company's financial status and develop accurate financial forecasts to guide strategic planning.Financial Planning and Reporting:
Develop comprehensive financial plans and produce regular, detailed financial reports for stakeholders.Statutory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all tax and statutory reporting requirements, including Tax, VAT, Dividends Tax, CIPC, COID, Employees Tax, and Individual Shareholders Tax.Trend Analysis:
Analyze financial trends and industry standards to provide strategic insights and recommendations.Finance Department Management:
Oversee the finance department's operations and development, ensuring efficiency and high performance.Policy Creation and Review:
Create and review financial policies to maintain compliance and best practices within the organization.Budgeting and Forecasting:
Participate actively in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning and decision-making.Staff Recruitment and Training:
Recruit, train, and develop finance staff to build a capable and effective team.Cashflow Management:
Monitor cashflow and prepare accurate cashflow forecasts to ensure liquidity and financial stability.Group Requirements:
Handle group insurance requirements, including PI, assets, group life, and pension funds.B-BBEE Certificate Preparation:
Plan and complete the annual B-BBEE Certificate for the Construction sector.Qualifications:Minimum:
BCom in Accounting minimumExperience:
Approximately 10-15 years of financial management experience in a similar role.Skills and Competencies:Accounting:
Proficiency in financial accounting principles, including preparing financial statements, managing accounts, and understanding financial transactions.IT Proficiency:
Familiarity with financial software such as SAP Business One, Enterprise (preferable), Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, and SAGE 300.Reporting:
Ability to create accurate and timely financial reports, analyse data, and present findings to stakeholders.Critical Thinking:
Evaluating complex financial situations, identifying patterns, and making informed decisions.Collaboration:
Working effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating financial insights, and contributing to organizational goals.Financial Data Analysis:
Proficiently analysing financial data, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations.Communication:
