Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Group Management Accountant to provide vital support to Operations and Finance in Western Cape.This role involves managing a Finance Team, Payroll, and Credit Control function while ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information, including income statements and balance sheets.Be part of an organization that values strategic thinking, continuous improvement, and professional development.Ready to make an impact?   • Financial Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and verify entries to ensure data accuracy.
  • Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (corporate, VAT), stay updated on tax laws, assist in audits, and collaborate with auditors and tax authorities.
  • Budgeting & Financial Planning Support: Assist in budget preparation, expense monitoring, forecasting, and financial decision-making while identifying cost-saving opportunities and financial risks.
  • Internal Controls & Risk Management: Implement financial controls, conduct internal audits, and ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) while supporting transparency in financial reporting.
  • Commercial Support: Provide risk management and support in financial decision-making processes.
Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting (BCOM)
  • BCom Honours
  • CIMA
Experience:
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in management accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience in managing finance teams and overseeing payroll and credit control functions.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
