Job Summary As the Group Consolidations and Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will play a pivotal role in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights and analysis to drive business decisions.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with expertise in consolidation techniques and financial reporting standards.   • Monthly tasks include preparing group flash reports and management accounts, drafting consolidation journals, reviewing group cash flow, and managing group banking
  • Annual tasks involve preparing the group annual budget, reviewing tax schedules, and managing audits
  • Ensure adherence to reporting deadlines, timely completion of subsidiary annual financial statements (AFS), and assist with drafting group AFS
  • Head office responsibilities include reviewing budgets and VAT returns, analyzing profit and loss variances, reviewing ledger reconciliations, managing fixed assets, and authorizing payments.
  • Additional duties involve liaising with auditors, providing ad hoc support to the Group Financial Manager (FM), handling tax-related matters, and implementing new accounting policies for IFRS compliance and corporate governance
Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Accounting
  • CTA
  • CA(SA)
Experience:
  • Completed articles within in well recognized audit firm
  • 3-5 years post articles commercial
  • Experience in understanding the full scope of Group consolidation and reporting is crucial.
  • Being proactive and willing to delve into details, reporting findings to EXCO
  • SAGE X3 familiarity is advantageous
Skills & Competencies:
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and relationship-building skills;
  • Having a continuous improvement mindset;
  • Willingness to work overtime if and when needed.
