Group Reporting Technical Accountant
Job Description
A leading manufacturing company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. As a Technical Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). You will play a critical role in interpreting and applying accounting standards, providing technical accounting guidance, and preparing financial statements. This position requires a deep understanding of IFRS, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.Duties:
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS
- Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex transactions and new accounting standards
- Ensure compliance with JSE listing requirements and other regulatory standards
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
- Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and financial planning
- Support the implementation of new accounting systems and software
- CA(SA)
- At least 3 years post article experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience in preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements.
