Sales Manager - 4-Star Hotel Group
Cape Town or Johannesburg, South AfricaA well-established 4-star hotel group with properties in Cape Town and Johannesburg is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to drive revenue, expand market share, and strengthen client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hospitality sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage sales efforts across both locations.This role requires flexibility to travel between Cape Town and Johannesburg, with interviews to be conducted in one of these locations.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase occupancy and revenue across both hotels.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, securing corporate, leisure, MICE, and travel trade clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, corporate partners, travel agents, and event organisers.
  • Conduct sales meetings, client presentations, and site inspections at both properties.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with promotional campaigns.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and revenue analysis to senior management.
  • Represent the hotel group at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration between sales, reservations, and operations teams to enhance guest experiences.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry (4/5* group).
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, leisure, MICE, and travel trade markets in South Africa.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform under pressure.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between Cape Town and Johannesburg.
  • A proactive, strategic mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
