Oversee and manage all aspects of the companys tax operations, including compliance, reporting, and planning.
Deferred Tax and Tax Computations
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the companys tax position and align with business goals.
Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the companys tax obligations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including finance teams, legal advisors, and tax authorities, to manage audits, disputes, and other tax-related matters.
Provide strategic tax advice to senior management on potential tax risks and opportunities.
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
SAIT (South African Institute of Tax Professionals) qualification is required.
A minimum of 9-10 years of experience in taxation, with a strong focus on South African tax matters.
Experience in the mining or chemicals industry or similar sectors is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of South African tax laws, including corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing.
Proven ability to manage tax affairs in a complex business environment.
Leadership experience with a track record of developing and managing a high-performing team.
