About the Role:
The Group Tax Manager will assist in managing the Groupxe2x80x99s tax affairs, ensuring compliance with legislation and supporting strategic tax planning. This role requires a highly skilled and adaptable professional with strong business acumen, as the Group operates across diverse sectors, including financial services, insurance, and motor retail.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee tax compliance and engage with SARS on audits, queries, and timely submissions.
- Monitor and apply changes in tax legislation to the Groupxe2x80x99s operations.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review tax calculations, financial statement disclosures, and Board reports.
- Drive process automation and improvements in tax-related workflows.
- Provide expert tax advice, support audits, and contribute to tax-driven business strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team.
xc3xa2xc2x9cxc2x94 BCom Honours in Accounting or Registered CA(SA)
xc3xa2xc2x9cxc2x94 5+ years of corporate tax experience (essential)
xc3xa2xc2x9cxc2x94 Strong knowledge of tax law, IFRS, and advanced Excel
