We empower communities, businesses, and local governments with sustainable market solutions to adapt to a challenging global marketplace, particularly addressing the unique needs in Africa. We are currently developing two transformative products: Mapu, an analytical software strengthening risk management and decision-making processes for investments in carbon credits, sustainable energy, agriculture, and forestry, and Portala, an African-sourced job placement network for Climate Tech professionals.As a Growth & Partnership Lead Intern, you will play a critical role in driving business growth, establishing partnerships, and expanding the reach of our sustainability solutions in Central and West Africa. You will work closely with our team to identify new opportunities for collaboration, build strategic partnerships, and foster relationships that drive the adoption of our products, Mapu and Portala.Responsibilities:Market and Partnership Research: Conduct in-depth market research to understand key players, trends, and partnership opportunities in sustainability, risk management, and Climate Tech sectors.Partnership Development: Identify and engage with potential partners including local governments, NGOs, financial institutions, investors, and job placement agencies to promote the adoption of Mapu and Portala.Business Development Strategy: Collaborate with the growth team to develop and execute partnership and business development strategies that align with our sustainability goals and drive regional expansion.Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to create joint ventures, strategic alliances, or collaborative initiatives that support sustainable development and job placement in Climate Tech.Collaboration with Marketing Team: Work with the marketing team to craft compelling partnership proposals, presentations, and promotional materials tailored to potential partners and clients.Event Support and Campaign Coordination: Assist in organizing and participating in events, campaigns, and initiatives that raise awareness of our products and drive engagement.Performance Tracking: Monitor the success of partnership initiatives, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and make recommendations based on data-driven insights.Industry Trends and Regulations: Stay updated on emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability, climate finance, and Climate Tech job markets, providing insights to inform strategy.Qualifications:Currently pursuing a degree in Business Development, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field.A passion for sustainability, climate change, and environmental impact in Central and West Africa.Strong communication and negotiation skills with a talent for building partnerships.Demonstrated interest or experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools or platforms is a plus.Previous experience or knowledge of the sustainability, risk management, or Climate Tech sectors is an advantage.Benefits:Gain practical experience in business development, partnership management, and growth strategy for sustainability solutions.Contribute to impactful projects that support sustainable development in Central and West Africa.Work alongside a passionate and experienced team committed to environmental and social progress.Develop your skills in partnership-building, negotiation, and strategic business planning.Network with professionals across the sustainability, climate finance, and Climate Tech sectors.To apply, submit your resume along with a brief cover letter detailing your interest in the position and relevant experience.
