My client, well established five star guest house based on the West Rand, is looking for a guest house manager to join the team.Duties include full management function. Full training and mentoring in all aspects of managing the guest house will be given. We are looking for a youngster with very high energy levels and one who can work hospitality hours including every second weekend. Hospitality qualification will be an advantage. Sound experience is essential. Looking after guests, handling bookings and payments, anticipating needs, liaison with outside suppliers. Breakfast and dinner duties, menu creation, hygiene and handling guest complaints. Assisting with functions. This is a live in position.This young candidate must have their own transport (valid drivers licence) and must reside on the premises due to the nature of the position. They must have excellent people skills and be friendly and helpful at all times. A hospitality qualification an advantage but not essential and some experience. Honest and 100% reliable essential. Must be willing to get involved in all aspects of the guest house and to step in whenever necessary. Good numeracy skills.Client is offering basic salary plus accommodation and meals and uniform.
