Job Description

:Looking for a skilled Management Cost Accountant to manage the financial aspects of a thriving nursery's manufacturing and production processes. This role will involve accurate financial reporting, cost analysis, and comprehensive stock management, all within a half-day schedule. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in Pastel / Sage accounting software. Strong analytical skills are essential for this role.Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Pastel / Sage accounting software.

• Perform cost analysis of production processes, including materials, labour, and overheads.

• Manage all aspects of stock management, including inventory control, valuation, and regular stock takes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

• Conduct variance analysis to identify and address discrepancies.

• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.

• Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations.

• Assist with general administrative and financial tasks as required.

Requirements * Accounting qualification required.

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in Pastel / Sage accounting software is essential.

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.

• Strong analytical skills are required to interpret financial data and optimise stock management.

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
