Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team. The Handyman will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills to address plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other maintenance-related issues, ensuring a high standard of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and emergency repairs, maintenance, and improvements across the property, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance. Perform minor carpentry, drywall, and painting tasks. Install and repair appliances, fixtures, doors, windows, and other building components. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems and equipment. Ensure work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Respond to maintenance requests promptly and communicate effectively with customers or supervisors regarding any issues. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Keep a clean and safe work environment during and after repairs. Assist with seasonal maintenance and inspections as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance practices. Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable). High school diploma or equivalent. Certifications or additional training in relevant fields (e.g., electrical, plumbing) is a plus.
