  • Expert knowledge of the restaurant or organisations cuisine
  • Advanced culinary skills including food preparation, flavour pairings and other cooking best practices
  • Ability to develop unique recipes
  • Current knowledge of trends in the restaurant industry
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state and local food handling regulations
  • Comfortable training, directing and supervising kitchen staff
  • Exceptional leadership skills, including motivation and goal-setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Time management and organisation
Competencies / Skills
  • Communication:
Verbal Communication and Comprehension Expert English Standard
  • Experience: 5+ years in a similar role in high-end dining.
  • Culinary Skills: Formal training and strong knowledge of various cuisines.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop a kitchen team.
  • Hygiene Certification: Understanding of food safety standards
  • Financial Skills: Experience with budgeting and supplier management.
  • Creativity: Ability to develop innovative dishes and menus.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making skills.
