Job Description


Candidate Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Previous experience working & managing a 5* kitchen
  • Fluent in English (Verbal & Written)
  • Be able to plan menus for a 5 star clientele in our boutique lodge (20 beds), and maintain a budget.
  • Have an understanding of and be able to plan around modern dining trends and be creative in catering to diverse dietary requirements.
  • Lead the kitchen team to consistently produce great quality food
  • Training staff where needed and growing them in skill.
  • Have knowledge of and understanding of kitchen best practices in terms of health and safety.
  • Understand and implement stock controls, understand issues, and purchasing, all within a budget.
  • Have some admin skills, such as processing of stocks and purchases.
  • Knowledge of PANstrat would be advantageous
  • Be able to communicate with guests and other senior staff to deliver consistent world-class service to our guests.
  • Must be passionate about creating exciting and new experiences for guests
  • Previous experience working in a Lodge Environment would be advantageous
