Nestled in the heart of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, this exclusive safari lodge offers a serene escape where luxury meets the untamed wilderness. With a commitment to exceptional , the lodge prides itself on providing guests with an immersive and unforgettable culinary journey that complements the surrounding beauty.
They are seeking a dynamic and skilled Head Chef who is not only passionate about crafting exquisite, health-conscious dishes but also thrives in a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global and local food trends, excellent management skills, and a keen eye for detail in menu planning, stock control, and staff training. This role requires someone who can balance creativity with operational efficiency while ensuring that every dish aligns with the lodgexe2x80x99s high standards of presentation and guest satisfaction.Candidate Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Head Chef in a luxury lodge environment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution.
• Strong creativity and passion for culinary arts, with a focus on diverse cuisines and modern cooking techniques.
• Must be able and experienced in using ice cream machines, pressure cookers, sous vide machines etc.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of local and international food trends, sustainable practices, and dietary preferences.
• Good knowledge of planning, budgeting, and departmental administration.
• Excellent attention to detail, excellent hygiene principles.
• Team player with positive attitude, enthusiasm, and emotional control.
• Excellent time management and self-discipline, interpersonal & problem-solving skills.

Live in position including meals and uniform.
Salary R18k-R24kpm
Leave cycle 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off
