If yes, then MiWay is the place for you!What will you do?Up for a new challenge, feel you can make a difference?The Claims Department is looking for an enthusiastic individual to head up the Claims & Legal team to oversee the effective operations within the Broker/Direct/Digital Claims environment for Personal and Business Insurance. This individual will further manage Partner Relations and to improve on the loss ratio initiatives.Areas of Responsibility within Claim and Legal

  • Managing average claims cost and total claims value chain
  • Ensure efficient call centre service levels
  • Ensure service delivery to clients and brokers are within acceptable ranges
  • Manage MANEX efficiently
  • Reporting on the Broker Claims department from an operational aspect
  • Reporting on the Direct Claims department from an operational aspect
  • Formulate department strategy
  • Continues improvement and efficiencies
  • Decisions relating to day-to-day operations within the Claims & Legal department
  • Maintain and improve relationships with company's Service Providers, e.g. Car Hire, Towing, Salvage etc
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Redefining processes and procedures to optimise claims and legal efficiencies
  • Tracking & monitoring of TCF (Treat Client Fairly) principles & outcomes
  • Decisions related to budget expenditure for claims falling outside standard process
  • Operational decisions will be made independently and governed by policy and procedures within predetermined mandate
Minimum Qualification Required
  • Grade 12 (Essential)
  • Related tertiary qualification in related field (Essential)
  • Related legal qualification (Essential)
Minimum Experience Required
  • Minimum 10 years Call centre & legal Management experience essential in short term insurance
  • Minimum 10 years Claims Management experience essential in short term insurance
  • Minimum 5 years Broker claims experience essential in short term insurance
  • Minimum 5 years Commercial claims experience
  • Minimum 5 years investigative, risk and fraud experience
  • Experience in budgeting and finance management including staff remuneration, Loss Ratio / Risk Management / Contingency planning / Business continuity
