- Honours degree in the relevant field plus Seven (7) years of experience of working with people with disabilities
- Masters degree will be an added advantage
- Inclusive Education/ Educational Psychology will be an added advantage
- Registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) will be an added advantage
- The incumbent will be the first line of leadership and management within CHETL
- Ensures effective management of a range of services to cater to the unique needs of students who experience barriers to learning due to various disabilities
- Overseeing the orientation and mobility training for the first entering students and those who acquire disabilities while already in the systems, computer lessons and training in the use of adaptive technology and assistive devices, materials production, editing, staff training, data management, research, and community engagement
