Our Corporate and Investment Banking division is at the forefront of providing innovative financial solutions to our clients. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Fraud Detection and Response team.As the Head of Fraud Detection and Response, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to detect, prevent, and respond to fraudulent activities within our CIB operations. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure the security and integrity of our financial transactions.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive fraud detection and response strategies.Lead and manage the Fraud Detection and Response team.Monitor and analyze transaction data to identify potential fraudulent activities.Collaborate with product managers and other departments to ensure effective fraud prevention measures.Utilize data science and analytics to enhance fraud detection capabilities.Conduct investigations into suspected fraud cases and coordinate with law enforcement agencies as necessary.Stay updated on the latest fraud trends and technologies to continuously improve our fraud detection capabilities.Prepare and present reports on fraud incidents and prevention measures to senior management.Experience and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.Minimum of 6 years of experience in fraud detection and response, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of fraud detection technologies and methodologies.Experience in product management and payments systems.Proficiency in data science and analytics.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.EducationBachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)Absa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
