Our clients luxury 5-star lodge is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Guide to lead and manage an exceptional guiding team. If you're a natural leader with deep knowledge of the African bush, they want you on our team!DescriptionAs the Head Guide, you will play a pivotal role in crafting unforgettable safaris for our clients discerning guests while ensuring the smooth operation and continued success of their guiding department. Conducting exceptional game drives, bush walks, and aerial adventures, you'll deliver expert knowledge and insightful commentary on the local flora, fauna, and wildlife. You'll provide mentorship and guidance to their team of guides, fostering a culture of professionalism, safety, and guest service excellence. Additionally, you'll oversee the daily logistics of the guiding department, including scheduling, vehicle maintenance, and equipment checks. Your responsibility also extends to ensuring the safety and well-being of guests at all times, building rapport with them, understanding their preferences, and personalising safaris to create lasting memories. You'll prepare reports on game sightings, track trends, and continually develop new and innovative ways to enhance the guest experience.Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a guide in a similar 5-star lodge environment.
• FGASA Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and a strong track record of guiding excellence.
• Valid DEAT registration (preferable), Professional Driver's Licence (with Passenger Driving Permit), and advanced first-aid certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with guests from diverse backgrounds.
• A passion for wildlife conservation, environmental sustainability, and sharing your knowledge with enthusiasm.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• A commitment to exceeding guest expectations and delivering exceptional service.
