SUMMARY:
-POSITION INFO:We are recruiting on behalf of a leading asset management firm in South Africa, renowned for managing investments across various sectors of the economy on behalf of public sector entities. With over R2.6 trillion in assets under management, the organization has positioned itself as one of the top investment managers in South Africa and the African continent. The firm's growth is driven by a team of self-motivated, results-focused professionals, and a staff complement of approximately 300 employees.We are currently seeking dynamic individuals for the position of Head: Human Capital to join the organization's team in Pretoria. This role presents an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership and direction to the Human Capital function.Role Purpose:The Head: Human Capital will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the Human Capital function, ensuring that all initiatives and programs are effective, efficient, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals. This role requires someone who can drive transformation and implement innovative strategies that contribute to business success.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee the full spectrum of Human Capital functions, including talent attraction and retention, remuneration, learning and development, HR administration, compliance, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.Develop and implement a comprehensive Human Capital Strategy that aligns with the organization's vision and business objectives.Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, particularly Labour Law, FAIS, and FICA, and ensure that the Human Capital function is operating within regulatory frameworks.Develop and manage the performance management system, ensuring it is aligned with organizational goals and fosters a high-performance culture.Manage the division's annual budget, perform cost and productivity analysis, and ensure financial sustainability of the Human Capital function.Foster a culture of agility and adaptability within the Human Capital team to meet the dynamic needs of the organization.Champion risk management and audit processes within the Human Resources environment.Create a competitive advantage by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, ensuring diversity and inclusivity in line with BBBEE and Employment Equity (EE) requirements.Drive a culture of ethical behavior and strong corporate governance.Lead organizational change initiatives that foster high performance and continuous improvement.Requirements:Educational Qualification: Honours Degree in Social Sciences, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Management, or equivalent. A Master's degree in Industrial Psychology or Human Resources is preferred.Experience: 8 to 10 years of extensive senior management experience in a large, dynamic corporate environment, particularly in professional services or asset management.Strong knowledge of Human Resources legislative requirements and compliance.Proven leadership experience in Human Resources functions with a focus on strategic management, talent management, and organizational development.Key Competencies & Skills:Strong business acumen with high numeracy and financial background.Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and build high-performing teams.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and drive change.Strategic thinking with the ability to execute and adapt to evolving business needs.Strong problem-solving skills and high emotional intelligence.Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in all HR-related activities.Why Join?This is an incredible opportunity to be part of an organization committed to excellence, diversity, and meaningful impact.
