As the Head of Accommodation and Events, you will be responsible for hotel reservations and conferencing revenues in line with the overall revenue management strategy and oversight.One of your key responsibilities as the Head of Accommodation and Events is to develop the hotel reservations strategy for the financial year. This strategy, aligned with our hotel and revenue management budgets, requires a deep understanding of our hotel strategy, business mix, and need periods. This understanding will enable you to manage the team's outputs effectively and build agility in their performance for the hotel.Another crucial aspect of your role is managing the team to achieve monthly revenue targets. This involves using agreed SOPs and ensuring all guest and group payments are made within predetermined timelines. You will also be responsible for investigating all adjustments to understand any trends, deviations, or adjustments that do not follow SOPs, and ensuring the team is aligned with the overall Guest Experience strategy and goals.Your responsibilities will include managing the full evaluation, booking, and reservation process according to the SOPs, conducting key face-to-face client meetings and site inspections, and investigating upselling opportunities.With your Matric Certificate and a Hospitality qualification, you have 5 years' experience managing a consolidated reservations and C&E booking environment in a 4-star deluxe hotel with knowledge and skills in Opera PMS, Opera Sales & Catering.
