Our client, a digital marketing agency located in Cape Town, South Africa. Bringing together imaginative and forward-thinking digital marketing specialists. With more than 15 years of combined experience in digital marketing, they excel at understanding their clients specialties and connecting them with their target audience.The Head of Design will be responsible for overseeing all design projects, from conception to delivery. This role requires a visionary leader with advanced design skills, including expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, packaging design, and social media. The ideal candidate will also have experience in social media management and copywriting, ensuring cohesive and engaging content across all channels.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Develop and execute creative concepts for various projects, including branding, marketing campaigns, product packaging, and digital content.
• Oversee the production of high-quality visual content, including graphics, videos, and animations.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling social media content that aligns with the brand's voice and strategy.
• Write and edit copy for social media posts, advertisements, and other marketing materials.
• Ensure all design work is consistent with the brand's identity and guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the company's design approach fresh and innovative.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.
• Work closely with other departments to understand their design needs and deliver effective solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Head of Design, Senior Designer, or similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Strong skills in video editing and animation.
• Experience in packaging design and understanding of print production processes.
• Excellent social media management skills, with the ability to create and schedule engaging content.
• Strong copywriting and editing skills.
• Exceptional creativity and innovation.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Knowledge of web design and user experience (UX) principles.
