Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Head of Digital Performance Marketing to lead their performance marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving digital marketing success across various channels, strong analytical skills, and the ability to develop and execute effective performance marketing strategies. This role is crucial for maximising ROI for our clients and ensuring the continuous growth of the agency.Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive digital performance marketing strategies to achieve client goals and agency growth targets.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of performance marketing specialists, ensuring continuous development and high performance.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of performance marketing campaigns across various channels, including PPC, social media, display advertising, and affiliate marketing.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilise advanced analytics tools to track and measure campaign performance, generate insights, and provide actionable recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and ensuring the delivery of exceptional performance marketing services.
  • Budget Management: Manage and allocate budgets effectively to maximise ROI and achieve client objectives.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the agencys performance marketing strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as creative, content, and technical teams, to develop integrated marketing solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital performance marketing, with a proven track record of success in managing and optimising campaigns.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint) is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in various digital marketing channels, including PPC, SEO, SEM, social media, display, and customer journeys.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, and other performance measurement platforms.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in using marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of the South African market and digital marketing landscape.
  • Attributes: Results-driven, strategic thinker, innovative, and adaptable to changing market conditions.
