Our client in the Apparel or Textile Manufacturing Industry is seeking a qualified, experienced, and highly skilled Head of Finance. The ideal candidate will ensure financial performance and statutory compliance to limit business risk and maximize profitability. This role involves financial reporting, financial planning, and maintaining good financial governance.Responsibilities:

• Develop a financial and operational strategy with metrics tied to the strategy.
• Ongoing development and monitoring of control systems to preserve company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure the integrity of the General Ledger for reporting, including control, maintenance, and management.
• Ensure the integrity of the Group monthly management accounts, balance sheets, cash flows, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure all monthly International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) reporting requirements are met in terms of quality (accuracy, completeness) and timeliness.
• Implement a robust Group monthly reporting process and discipline.
• Partner with executive management to manage major aspects of financial reporting.
• Provide monthly financial reviews and budget (forecast) meetings.
• Manage and maintain appropriate accounting policies, processes, and internal control systems.
• Prepare and/or review Audit Committee and Board financial pack submissions, including budgets, interim, and year-end packs.
• Ensure the integrity of the IFRS financial figures reported.
• Provide financial data and information requested by management on a timely basis.
• Act as the key contact for interim and year-end external audit and annual report preparation.
• Ensure company financial statements are prepared in compliance with IFRS for interim and annual reports.
• Accurately report on all imports and foreign exchange transactions.
• Manage timely and accurate accounting for acquisitions and disposals.
• Serve as a key advisor and signatory for loan and facility legal agreements and secretarial-related legal agreements.
• Maintain Group Companies Limits of Authority.
• Provide input in the Integrated Reporting compilation process.
• Ensure a succession plan is in place for senior management positions reporting to the Finance Executive.
• Ensure proper training of all personnel working on financial, accounting, audit, or fiscal matters.
• Manage the Finance team and their required outputs.
• Provide guidance and development opportunities to direct reports.

Requirements:

• CA (SA) qualification.
• 10-15 years of proven experience in a financial environment, including monitoring budgets and financial reporting to relevant stakeholders.
• Proven experience as a Head of Finance in the Apparel or Textile Manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Proven track record in strategic financial leadership, integrated reporting and budgeting, risk management, governance and controls, and people performance.
• Good business acumen.
• Knowledge of imports and foreign exchange rates.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
• Proven ability in Financial and ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and financial software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
