  • Develop and implement financial strategies and oversee budget preparation, forecasting to align with company goals.
  • Generate timely and accurate financial reports and analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage cash flow and oversee financial systems and software to ensure liquidity and optimal cash utilisation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to protect assets and data integrity.
  • Lead financial planning, including capital allocation, investments, and resource distribution.
  • Coordinate audits and address findings.
  • Lead, mentor and foster professional development within the finance team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and enhance financial performance.
  • Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Implement cost control measures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, and practices.
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the finance function.
  • Stay informed about industry trends.
What our client is looking for:
  • CA(SA) or equivalent with currency hedging and multi-currency bank account management experience
  • Corporate governance, business risk management, and IT and ERP systems knowledge
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, coaching, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; self-motivated and self-managed with initiative
  • Logical and balanced approach, even under pressure, with attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Strategic thinking, day-to-day operations management, project and change management skills
  • Analytical thinking, creativity, innovation, and solutions-oriented, even under pressure
  • Multi-tasking and simultaneous project management
