We are looking for an exceptional, results-driven Head of Finance to join the Assurance Division of a leading client in the Insurance Industry based in Sandton. If you're a qualified CA(SA) with expertise in short-term insurance, and you're eager to play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategies and ensuring sound financial management, this opportunity is for you!Duties:
- Lead the finance function for the Assurance division, managing a team of finance professionals and working closely with senior management.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to ensure sound budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
- Provide strategic insights to the business, advising on cost efficiencies, investment strategies, and overall profitability.
- Develop and implement internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and insurance industry-specific practices.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- At least 4 to 5 years of experience within the Assurance division, specifically in short-term insurance.
