This pivotal role is centred around reporting and compliance functions of financial operations. • Leadership & Management: Oversee and manage the finance department, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
• Financial Reporting: Responsible for the full finance function, including compiling advanced reports such as cashflow, management packs, budget, and forecasting reports.
• Audit Preparation: Prepare and oversee bi-annual audits.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit PAYE, VAT, and provisional tax.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory movement and transactions in a manufacturing environment.
• Accounting Transactions: Implement and understand accounting transactions up to AFS level.
• Internal Controls: Review and maintain internal controls regarding financial risk management and BBBEE compliance.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and communicate data clearly and concisely.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks.
• Compliance: Ensure financial compliance and assist with BBBEE audits

Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• BCom Honours / CTA
• CA(SA) / CIMA

Experience:

• Completed SAICA Articles
• 8 to 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience Advanced Accounting understanding and capabilities
• +3 years in a management role
• Must have a good understanding of the full accounting cycle
• Experience on Xero

Skills & Competencies:

• Must work well in a team as well as independently
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be able to attend to matters urgently when required
