LOCATION: Cape Town.R HIGHLY NEGOTIABLE PLUS ANNUAL PERFORMANCE BONUSOur client is a listed financial services company who offer a range of local and global funds, with corresponding feeder funds available from South Africa. The team have won numerous Raging Bull awards.They now seek a head of institutional and strategic initiatives to join their team.JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• You will be required to develop and maintain relationships within the institutional and retail MM segments of SA;
• You will be required to have a thorough understanding of the South African and global macro environment, including knowledge to explain to existing and potential clients why the funds are positioned (equities, cash, bonds, etcetera) in a certain manner. This should ultimately translate into targets clients adopting our product range;
• You will be required to engage existing and targeted clients for the company on investment capabilities and related services;
• You will be required to successfully influence key stakeholders across institutional, MM and senior strategic partners critical for company growth;
• You will be required to own and executive effective sales strategy for the company with targeted market;
• You will be required to have a strong relationship and networking focus and established relationships to accomplish sales targets;
• You will be required to build and develop a pipeline, manage net flow and business at risk to growth the company AUM;
• You will be required to be a team player, collaborating with team member maximise opportunities for sales success;
• You will be responsible for continuously keeping abreast of industry changes and market trends;
• You will be responsible for continuous innovation and idea generation for marketing pitches and client presentations.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• You have a B.Com (investments or similar);
• You have a CFA qualification or studying towards - this would be a distinct advantage (or honours degree in investments);
• You have a minimum of 10 years current, relevant industry experience;
• You have established advisory relationships - this would be a distinct advantage;
• You have industry specific knowledge.

You are a strong business development person with a strategic focus. You are able to glean credibility from day one - with DFM's MM and the broker network market inter alia. You will work with a great manager and a supportive investment team who will ensure you are able to present the best information to clients to ensure your success.
