The Head of IT Africa Business and Infrastructure is responsible for driving technology-driven business solutions that add value across Puma Energy's diverse operations in Africa. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of IT solutions and infrastructure, and how they impact business performance. The successful candidate must bridge the gap between IT projects, infrastructure, and business needs, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives across various business units.
The ideal candidate will come from the Oil & Gas industry and have experience operating in complex, multi-cultural, and highly regulated environments. They must possess strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage with senior management at Puma Energy to demonstrate the value-add of IT solutions to business operations.

Collaborate with key business stakeholders to ensure IT projects align with business objectives, including B2B, Retail, Wholesale, Aviation, and Future Energies.
Demonstrate the direct impact of IT initiatives on business growth and operational excellence.
Program & Project ManagementLead and manage complex IT programs and projects from inception to completion.
Ensure governance, risk management, and compliance across all IT initiatives.
Track project performance, milestones, and budgets, ensuring cost-effective implementation.
Stakeholder Engagement & CollaborationBuild strong relationships with business leaders, ensuring IT functions as a key enabler of growth and efficiency.
Work closely with operational and commercial teams to identify opportunities where IT can drive value.
Ensure IT solutions support business continuity, regulatory compliance, and customer service excellence
Infrastructure & Operational ExcellenceOversee IT infrastructure across Africa, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability.

Budget & Resource ManagementManage the IT budget effectively, optimizing resources and expenditures.

Risk Management & ComplianceIdentify and mitigate IT-related risks that may impact business operations.
Ensure IT policies and practices comply with industry regulations and best practices.
Develop and implement contingency plans for IT-related business disruptions.
Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including project managers and technical specialists.

Job Requirements
Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business IT, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a strong background in business IT solutions within the Oil & Gas industry.
Proven track record in managing IT programs and infrastructure in a multi-country, multi-cultural, and regulated environment.
Experience working across multiple business units, including B2B, Retail, Wholesale, and Aviation.
Strong understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, and emerging technology trends.
Skills & Competencies:Strategic thinker with the ability to connect IT solutions to business value.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at all levels, including senior management.
Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and diverse business norms across Africa.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Experience in change management and driving digital transformation.
