Intercare Corporate Services situated in Menlyn Central, Pretoria, seeks to recruit a Head of Learning.The purpose of the position is to lead the delivery of a Learning, Development and Engagement culture in support of Intercare's strategic outcomes.CRITICAL OUTPUTS

  • Review, enhance and implement a Group L&D Strategy aligned to the business' goals and objectives.
  • Develop a training calendar aligned to operational & business requirements.
  • Develop, implement and track a L&D grid for all positions.
  • Maintain an online Learning Management System ("LMS").
  • Recommend and stay up to date on emerging technologies and LMS trends.
  • Review, enhance, implement and maintain the Group's onboarding program.
  • Resource, implement and manage best fit learning solutions for key focus areas i.e. practice management, employee engagement, change management.
  • Create and support learning solutions for multiple delivery methods including instructor-led, web-based, virtual classroom, and blended instruction.
  • Lead and develop L&D facilitators ("train the trainer").
  • Continuously identify learning opportunities/skills gaps to enhance current curricular.
  • Design and submit relevant management reports.
  • Facilitate the training & development process to enhance capacity and capabilities.
  • Actively build, maintain and grow strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, including SETA's.
  • Ensure statutory compliance on WSP's for all entities.
  • Contribute, research, analyse and provide inputs to the HC Strategy in order to ensure that OD initiatives are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Research and implement best practice in the areas of instructional design and e-learning and continuously apply sound instructional design principles and learning methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 4 - 6 Years' relevant experience with learning and content development.
  • Good knowledge of e-learning platforms and practices.
  • Practical experience with MS Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of adult learning processes, instructional design techniques, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the effectiveness of learning methods.
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Canva or similar, ChatGPT or similar).
  • Willingness to travel including flights and stay-overs.
  • Ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Committed to high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to move between big picture and detail.
