Job Description


The ADvTECH Schools Division leads the private sector in the field of education, contributing meaningfully towards the sustainable development of human capacity in South Africa.Duties required:

  • Executes the academic policies and procedures for all academic and support staff
  • Ensures that timetabling is done effectively ensuring that there are sufficient classrooms available to accommodate students
  • Implements and evaluates the application of existing policies and ensures the effective implementation of all policies and procedures
  • Leads and manages the academic and support staff in the achievement of set school objectives and targets by ensuring that the school is a high performing entity
  • Manages and conducts performance reviews in accordance with policies and procedures and takes corrective action where necessary. Ensuring effective implementation and management of succession plans.
  • Implements strategic Human Resources in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements in partnership with the HRBP and HRC.
  • Ensures that the Employment Equity targets are met and identify suitable black candidates that can be mentored and developed
  • Ensures identification of critical skills essential for sustainability of service delivery and the development of succession plans
  • Effectively implement all Marketing initiatives to meet the enrolment targets and continuously strive to build and maintain a positive image of the school
  • Interview prospective new students and assist in meeting the school's enrolment targets
  • Actively engaging in word of mouth marketing through all initiatives and events both at the school and at other school related functions
  • Manages the budget of the school working with the Executive Head and ensure cost containment
  • Supervises the effective management of the continuous debt collecting process and enforces the suspension of students where accounts are in arrears
  • Monitor the age analysis of the school. Assists with the compilation of the preliminary and final annual budget for the year with the assistance of the finance team and Executive Head
  • Effectively allocate resources and manage all daily activities of the school
  • Enforces the requirements of the OHS Act and oversees compliance
  • Identifies all risks and hazards and ensure precautionary measures are taken prior to the commencement of hazardous operations
  • Assumes overall responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of students, staff and visitors at all times
  • Effectively manage and ensure legislative compliance in terms of exam entries / registrations

  • Computer literacy is imperative;
  • SACE registration
Qualifications:Minimum requirement is a recognised Degree and/or a 4-year professional Teaching Qualification.Experience:Minimum of 5 years' teaching experience in the same and/or similar type of position and environment. Minimum of 3 years managerial experience in the same and/or similar type of position
