Job Description
A household name in the insurance industry seeks an experienced and analytical Reporting Expert to join their dynamic finance team based in Midrand.The purpose of this role will be to manage and coordinate group statutory financial functions, acting as group authority on consolidated financial statements and managing year end audit. The role also entails supervising the maintenance of internal controls designed for reporting, safeguard corporate assets and integrity of fiscal systems. The successful incumbent will support informed decision making through sound technical IFRS and other regulatory requirements. Effective leadership of Senior Financial Mangers will ensure accurate and complete financial results are delivered.Main responsibilities include:
- Strategic, Financial and Operational Planning
- Accounting, Financial Management and Control
- Financial Reporting
- Financial Risk Management and Analysis
- Leadership of group finance team
- Performance management
Qualified CA(SA) essentialJob Experience & Skills Required:
- Completed SAICA articles
- 8 to 10 years' experience in a statutory reporting function essential (expert competence)
- 6 to 7 years' team management essential (planning, managing and organizing resources)
- Insurance industry experience essential
- Strong IFRS17 exposure, or project experience
- Group consolidation exposure advantageous
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
- Analytically inclined
- Deadline driven
- Effectively works under pressure
