Are you a tax expert with a deep understanding of African tax landscapes and a flair for navigating complex regulatory requirements? We're looking for a Head of Tax Operations to lead the tax strategy across our client's Africa operations. In this influential role, you'll ensure compliance, drive advisory insights, and play a key part in liaising with tax authorities, impacting the organization and industry at large.Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance & Reporting Leadership:

• Take ownership of all tax compliance and reporting for South Africa and African Regional Operations (ARO), covering IT3s, dividends withholding tax (DWT), withholding tax on interest (WTI), FATCA, and CRS.
• Ensure full compliance, accuracy, and timeliness, resolving any issues and maintaining strong relationships with SARS.
• Strategic Tax Advisory:

• Provide corporate and international tax advice to senior leaders and divisions, offering guidance on reportable products and aligning tax strategies across the Africa region.
• Stay ahead of evolving regulations and update stakeholders on potential impacts.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Training:

• Serve as the tax liaison with SARS and industry bodies, attending workshops and representing the organization on policy matters.
• Deliver in-depth training and support to in-country teams, empowering them to achieve best-in-class compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce Degree (post-graduate preferred).
• 10+ years in Financial Services with a focus on African tax, CGT, withholding taxes, CRS, and FATCA.
• Skilled at building relationships, working independently, and driving tax strategy across multi-jurisdictional teams.
