URBAN MOBILITY Head - Public Transport Systems Infrastructure
(Three- Year Contract)
Requirements
Relevant Bachelor's degree in Information Technology,
Project management, Engineering or technical field
At least eight (8) years' relevant experience in managing
large, complex projects of a technical nature, including IT
infrastructure, telecoms and project management
Experience in implementing automated fare collection
systems, intelligent transport systems or similar
technologies is advantageous.
Valid driver's licence
Key Performance Areas
Lead the Automated Fare Collection and Advanced
Passenger Transport Management System
implementation, operations and maintenance in support of
MyCiti services.
Lead the infrastructure technical specification process in line
with business requirements
Review system design against specifications and test and
commission systems that are implemented
Manage operations and maintenance in accordance with
standard operating procedures
Implement improvement initiatives to enhance the MyCiTi
service offering
Plan and direct the activities of team leads and specialists
Project management and contract management
Stakeholder relationship management
Ensure compliance as it relates to all current legislation,
policies, standard operating procedures and processes as
relevant to Public Transport Systems.
Identify and implement solutions for cost savings and loss
prevention
Provide comment on the applicable public transport tariff
where required and managing the implementation of the
annual public transport tariff adjustment
Provide financial management, control and monitoring of
the capital and operating budgets
Management of staff and ensuring the team is motivated
and productive
