Our clients luxury lodge is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to lead their dining room team. As the maestro of their restaurant, you will orchestrate seamless service and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable stay.: As the Head Waiter/Waitress, you will lead their wait staff in delivering exceptional service that reflects the luxurious ambiance of our clients lodge. Daily responsibilities include opening and closing the restaurant and bar, coordinating service setup for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events, and acting as a host to our clients guests. You will supervise the waiting team, schedule staff across the property as needed, and prepare drinks and offer service during service and in public areas.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Guest Service Excellence:Oversee all aspects of service in the dining room, ensuring guests receive attentive, professional, and personalized service.Lead by example, demonstrating the highest standards of hospitality and etiquette.Manage guest expectations and address any concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.Team Leadership & Development:Lead, motivate, and train a team of wait staff, fostering a positive work environment.Delegate tasks effectively and provide ongoing coaching to ensure exceptional service delivery.Schedule staff and ensure proper staffing levels to meet guest needs.Restaurant Operations:Maintain a deep understanding of the menu, wine list, and beverage offerings, providing recommendations to guests.Ensure smooth service flow, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff for timely and accurate orders.Maintain the upkeep and presentation of the dining room to create an inviting atmosphere.Contribute to the development of new service initiatives to enhance the guest experience.Inventory Management:Maintain inventory of tableware, glassware, and dining room supplies.Ensure proper stock levels and place timely orders for necessary supplies.Position Requirements:Minimum of 3 years' experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.In-depth knowledge of fine dining service etiquette and protocols.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse guests.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.Exceptional product knowledge of food, wine, and beverages.Keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and elegant dining environment.Positive attitude with a passion for exceeding guest expectations.Who You Are:Signs You'd Be a Good Fit:You love the idea of opening a new lodge.You thrive under pressure.You require minimal support.You are adaptable to change.You enjoy learning new things.You love serving high-end clientele.You love building teams from scratch.You love leading and collaborating.You are highly organized.People love working for you and will follow you where you go.You know you were born for this!Signs You Will Not Be a Good Fit:You are unable to work without constant direction.You require extensive written policies providing parameters around how you should do things at your job.You do not like to do a task if you think it is not part of your job description.You struggle with frequent disruption.You dont perform well under pressure.Compensation: Dependent on experience but will include lodging and meals during time at camp.
